Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point therapy is an essential tool used to address what are known as trigger points. These tender points found in taught bands of muscle cause pain, restriction, numbness, tingling or other sensations when activated. Trigger points develop due to a specific trauma or overuse of a muscle. They are deactivated by using sustained pressure techniques and muscle specific stretches. Benefits include relief from pain, symptoms and inflammation as well as an increase in range of motion and muscular function.
