Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a technique that addresses fascia, a connective tissue that envelopes muscles, organs, blood vessels and nerve fibers. The viscous cellular matrix between sheaths of fascia works as lubricant during movement. Over time this matrix can lose viscosity, become solidified and cause soft tissues to become bound down from injury, immobility or overuse. Myofascial release frees adhered tissue, resulting in decreased pain, increased range of motion, circulation and muscular performance.
